We hope you enjoy your visits to our blog. We work hard to provide our readers with honest book reviews and share our love of literacy, especially with people who might share books with children. Both of us are strong advocates of literacy and if you would like to contact us, see the contact information below.
For Publishers and Authors
We are happy to receive review copies, realize that there are two of us – Cari and Holly, we are sisters and that our blog focuses on children and adolescent literature. As stated in our review policy, acceptance of a review copy is not a guarantee of a favorable review or a published review. After the contact information is a more detailed explanation of the types of books we like and don’t like to read.
We also do a feature called Double Scoops, where we review a book together. The books chosen for this feature are books we really like that are of high literary quality. Some titles featured in the past include: A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck, Nightjohn by Gary Paulsen, Nic Bishop Spiders by Nic Bishop and Rapunzel’s Revenge by Shannon Hale. This popular feature is something we enjoy very much. If you want to send a review copy for a possible Double Scoop feature, we are happy to accept, but again we make no guarantee the book will meet the standard for a Double Scoop or that we will review the book. Our blog is done on a volunteer basis in order to promote the love of reading to our friends, families and anyone else who happens to read our posts. So while we do our best to review books in a timely fashion, sometimes life happens.

Great Info! But Im having some trouble trying to load your blog. I have read it many times before and never gotten something like this, but now when I try to load something it just takes a little while (5-10 minutes ) and then just stops. I hope i dont have spyware or something. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
